Before even slipping into the Maverick Rome RX3’s, I was thrilled with their new sleek look.

Having previously owned a pair of Maverik’s NXT gloves, I immediately noticed several updates.

Most notably to the palms, replacing the somewhat constrictive, 7 sections of padding, with only 2. The super soft and durable, Ax Suede Quattro Technology, helps the RX3’s look and feels amazing. No bulky or constrictive padding here. The RX3’s keep your fingers and impact zones protected using their, PORON XRD technology.

Maverik also replaced the pull string with a velcro strap, which I feel was a great idea. The pull string did its job, but the strings consistently latched on to the velcro during play, which may be minor, but an annoyance. Needless to say, I am digging the single strap feature.

The RX3's have a nice snug fit, giving you maximum control and increased feel. I have bigger hands and typically like a looser feel, which is why I usually go with size large. The large RX3's give me a nice snug fit, which is what Maverik intended with the RX3's/ They feel as if they are almost molded around my hands. If size large gloves are typically tight on you, I would recommend going up a size. A good fitting glove is detrimental to your game and each manufacturer has a different fit and feel. The best way to get the perfect fit, is to go into your local Maverik retailer and try them on yourself.

A good vent system, is usually a priority, to most players. No one likes a gloves that doesn't breathe or feels hot, as this causes hands to sweat more. Maverik addressed this with their Flowcool and 37.5 liner technology that seems to quickly wick away moisture and prevent my hands from getting overheated or damp.

As for aesthetics, the RX3's have an alternating matte and glossy finish, which streams down the middle finger of the glove, giving them a rich look. The Rome RX3's are available in a nice selection of colors; Classic White, Royal Blue, Red, Navy, Black, and Grey. What’s more, you can also customize a pair for yourself, or team, by going to www.factorycustom.com/Gloves.

Last but not least, the Rome RX3’s weigh in at a modest 5.3 ounces, keeping your hands fast and your game on point. A price point of $190, may seem steep, but the Rome RX3's are Maveriks top of the line glove that Maverik offers. You'll see other comparable gloves that go for around $230, so with the quality and performance the Rome RX3's offer, I feel this price point is very fair.

All in all, Maveriks Rome RX3 Gloves, have exceeded my expectations in style, comfort and quality. Maverik seemed to address the needs and wants of the player, and then some.

"The new Maverik RX3 gloves are one of a kind. The gloves mold to my hands and provides free range of motion with great protection. Being a player who demands high performance these gloves are exactly what I want" -Jojo Marasco #1 NY Lizards and Team USA Midfielder
