The lacrosse head is the most important piece of equipment for any lacrosse player on the field. Each player's head is unique to the style of play of their game and a player's pocket can be adjusted to provide more control or a quicker release. The lacrosse head can either come strung or unstrung. Most lacrosse heads are strung with nylon mesh and will require a short break in period before play. Unstrung heads will need be strung before being used for play. There are many stringing kit options available. Most lacrosse heads are offset, curved or canted to allow for more ball control and each head is made up of a scoop (top of the head), a unique sidewall and a throat area that attaches on to the lacrosse shaft.
