In case you missed it, we recently did a Q&A with Ryan Powell, of Powell Lacrosse. Check it out to learn more about the Powell Lacrosse brand and their product line.

Ryan got us excited about Powells' offering so needless to say, we were, amped to give the Pioneer Head a test run!

At First Glance: A sleek white head in a clean (semi) gloss finish, tastefully branded with the Powell logo on the top of the head, the throat and on the sidewall struts. The top of the head is lighter with a uniquely flat scoop, anchored by a weightier bottom half.

Structure & "Stringability": The Pioneer offers the perfect amount of stringing holes to accomodate simple thru complex, stringing patterns. Unique: The Sidewall holes are rectangular in shape, seeming to reinforce the heads structure further, more so than the common, circular sidewall holes, where breaks are common.

Flex/Weight Sturdy sidewalls, a short throat and flexibe scooped head, the Pioneer is sure to be a winner for offensive players and fogos, alike.

Recommended Position(s): Offense, Attack, Middie, FOGO

Warranty: The warranty policy of Powell lacrosse shows they stand confidently, behind their line. The Powell Pioneer has a 12 month warranty as well as, a 60 day money back guarantee if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase. Way to look out, "For The People" Powell Lacrosse!

Available Colors: White …Just white? We will take it…I'd be surprised if you Stringers and "Dye masters", would complain about starting with this clean and crispy, blank slate!

Price Point: At $90, this ones priced right and so far, well worth the change.

In Summary: From the Face Off " X", to the Net, the Pioneer seems to handle well in various conditions and positions. Especially with their, "safe", satisfaction guarantee, I would highly recommend giving the, Powell Pioneer, a Shot! If Powell's mission was to create a durable, versatile, quality head with strength and flex, in all the right places, then I would say, "Mission Accomplished".
